(W)HOLE – HEALING BY TEXTILE SURGERY
Inspired by the Japanese kintsugi technique, the W(HOLE) project celebrates the beauty in decay by highlighting the wear and tear of garment, turning them into something new and valuable. This approach arose from a collaboration with goldsmith Lindsey Fontijn, where they combined craftsmanship and innovation, allowing intuition and time to guide the transformation of materials.
With this project, they aim to bring a contemporary perspective to metal embroidery, shifting its purpose from luxury to something truly precious. Each custom repair contains a handcrafted jewelry bead, merging the delicate nature of textiles with the durability and elegance of metalwork.
Two handmade silver labels mark the garment with the embossed name of the reparation, carefully hand-stitched.
After careful analysis, your fabrics get healed with tailor made and delicate embroidery embellishments using precious metals, transforming them into true pieces of wearable art and bring them back to life, to a (W)HOLE life.

NOMADIC REPAIR STUDIO
To share the knowledge of their practice with others, Anneleen & Lindsey have set up a nomadic repair studio that combines goldsmithing and embroidery.
The nomadic repair studio acts as an interactive performance that weaves a poetic narrative, where the act of repair transforms into a healing art form.
The set up is a captivating fusion of the two crafts of embroidery and goldsmithing, featuring tools and materials from both disciplines, creating a space that reflects the harmonious collaboration between textile and metal.
