Within our studio, transmission of savoir-faire of the craft of embroidery and exchanges through the medium of textile are essential.

For example, we organized collaborative embroidery workshops for celebrating the 25th anniversary of the non-profit organisation Zinneke in Brussels.

During these workshops the participants were bringing the city of Brussels - the home of Zinneke - to life on textiles. Using needle, thread and various embroidery techniques, we built a large, collective work of art: an embroidered map of Brussels.

Different generations worked hand in hand, using the thread, the needle and the cloth as a messenger to share experiences and to pass on knowledge. Above & under, side by side, across each other, the threads were binding all these people who transmitted their personal stories, stitch by stitch.
